2025 Parramatta Draw

New Parramatta coach Jason Ryles has been handed the toughest assignment in rugby league for his first game in charge of the western Sydney powerhouse.

The Eels will take on the Storm in Melbourne in their season opener as Ryles looks to rebuild Parramatta following a disastrous 2024 campaign in which they narrowly avoided the wooden spoon. Ryles goes up against his mentor, Craig Bellamy, who has overseen an extraordinary streak of 22 consecutive opening-round wins.

The DT mentions this:

"It will be the ultimate acid test for Ryles and Parramatta’s roster overhaul, which includes winger Josh Addo-Carr playing his first NRL game for the Eels, against the Storm, where he won the 2017 and 2020 premierships."

I thought Fox would be stood down, though, right?

2 Kangaroo wingers, gee what an improvement to our backline, although one may be playing in the centres.

An incumbent Kangaroos winger, and a former Kangaroos winger. Nice roster to boast.

It kind of reminds when our deadshit home game announcer used to call "The International, Reni Maitua!" at every home game.

1. That was @Gronk
2. That was how he described him at the time, not that he would never be anything more than that.
Yep, it was in relation to Cleary being picked in Origin despite being no better than Robson. Gronk was correct.

But Robson was a solid first grader, and a 20 year old who’s already a solid first grader is expected to be very good at his peak.

16 weeks and 112 days to go.

It's a long weekend in Victoria as well as there labour day is on the Monday.

Throw in there is no ping pong dribble that weekend in Melbourne it wouldn't surprise me if storm sell this game out

We should play the Storm every rd 1 until we break their record

So in 20 years 50 years time and onwards....we can say we broke their record

Warms the cockles....
Well Vegas 2026 - Round 1 - Storm can play us there.

Might have to wait 12 more months but hey what a time to break the streak in Las Vegas.

The Strip will have seen nothing yet when the Blue & Golds come to town & party.
