thats wiped out by STVGood to see the epic blockbuster at the G between two 130 year old rivals rewarded with a comprehensive ratings win.
Pretty regular I think even for FoxApparently Channel 9 didn't even bother sending their commentators to Townsville, they called the game from a studio in Sydney.
BS. More people watched the AFL on Fox Footy too. 78k at the game vs 17k. Just accept the L for once.thats wiped out by STV

The biggest blockbuster is Essendon v Collingwood on ANZAC Day.Again it takes fumbles biggest ‘blockbuster’ game for the afl to beat a mid table nrl clash by two teams with smaller support bases.
Pffft. Carlton vs Collingwood is fumbles biggest game regardless of form. It’s the VFL effect. It’s why Suns vs Sydney is a top of the table clash but has to be buried behind a Geelong game because it won’t rate. Carlton vs Collingwood is the biggest game that fumble has to offer. The biggest blockbuster is Essendon v Collingwood on ANZAC Day.
And before last night's game Collingwood was 12th and Carlton 16th, so the ratings and crowd would have been far higher if both teams were in better form.
I guess it just doesn't compare to the two men and a dog at every Dragons home game at KogarahCarlton vs Collingwood is the biggest game that fumble has to offer.

Can’t imagine how utterly boring it is to have your biggest game to look forward to be the same two inner Melbourne suburbs year in, year out, especially this year one of those teams is utterly dog shit and the other is only slightly better. How thrilling it must be for the fans.I guess it just doesn't compare to the two men and a dog at every Dragons home game at Kogarah
Why do you think 78k turn up to a game on a wet and cold Thursday night to see a boring game between two shit teams? Can’t imagine how utterly boring it is to have your biggest game to look forward to be the same two inner Melbourne suburbs year in, year out, especially this year one of those teams is utterly dog shit and the other is only slightly better. This has been happening regularly since covid as broadcasters realised they could cut costs by having commentators call games from a studio rather than at the ground. I have no doubt it happens in the AFL as well.Apparently Channel 9 didn't even bother sending their commentators to Townsville, they called the game from a studio in Sydney.
Not in the major stadiums. I think they might do it for games at remote locations like Darwin, Alice Springs, Bunbury etc.I have no doubt it happens in the AFL as well.

Say what you like, it's one of the greatest rivalries in Australian sport. Last night's game was an epic classic and the Cowboys-Manly game was a one-sided snoozefest. That’s all they have to look forward to
