My girl plays district and state reps u13s. 3 years under. She's 10 in u10s. I can have her 2 more years. She's steely determined. No quarter given. She rocked up to minis 2 years ago with her mum who had nfi about cricket but had gone to a couple of BBL games. Raw as but keen as. It's a thrill watching a kid develop. I've a couple of them like that but I make them do their homework, get them to bring proof of tests and school stuff with their folks making sure education is first. Basically all the hard arse work ethics of some old dude, with fun and laughs. Drills and thrills. And sure we have plenty of free play smack it where u want to but in game think and later explain what went right or wrong and how you could go better next time. No sledging and plenty of manners. When I ump they sometimes tell me what they'll bowl or if they will try something and i have to pick it. I love it. And i make them watch youtube vids of all the greats, go away and learn about Lara or Ponting or Gower or Miller. Jonty fielding.
And yeah, when my girl attacks, the boys quickly learn a lesson. Lol.
