Warner should've punched the weasel harder. Btw, we have absolutely nothing left to lose in this match since its out of our reach. Watson might as well treat it was a T20.. He might get a decent score that way..

You've all bailed on your country, look at how quiet this is in here compared to 1st test and days 1,2

nice try champ

The first test thread started about a week before the test, there was like 500-600 posts before a ball was bowled, discussion on makeup of the side and what not. Plus its usually a natural progression in any series the 2nd test doesn't get as many posts when it is back to back test matches.

yourself however, are either running with the foxes or hunting with the hounds.
Git of the highest order.

Can't believe there are suggestions that England are playing negative.

This is the exact definition of test match ownage. Yes the Australians used to get the job done in 2-3 days with aggressive cricket, but there is nothing wrong with using all five to give your batsman time in the middle and completely demoralize the opponent in a different way.

It was just a matter of time before more England batsman got going, the thing that should really worry Australia is that Cook and Pietersen have done next to nothing. This is going to end up 5-0 unless miracles happen.

lol at the Watson dig.

Did you guys read this?
I thought the Watson hate was a bit exaggerated but now I'm firmly on board, he is truly a twat.

Mate no one was suggesting that expect the tard that is BunniesMong. His opinion on cricket isn't worth a pinch of shit.

I don't see it as negative. They are attempting to completely crush us, not just in this game but the entire series. Their bowlers are putting their feet up and relaxing while ours are trudging in the field all day, Rhino looks physically rooted with Veggieman not far behind and they are sorting Agar and Smith out.

Meanwhile Clarke and Lehman have to try and keep the spirits and mindset of a badly struggling team up whilst trying to work out how to save this game and win 2 more.
Players like HAH, Rodgers, Uzi and Smith will have failure and getting dropped from the team on their mind whilst Cook and co are sunning themselves on the balcony or scoring runs.

Day 3 was always going to pan out as a batting day for England and a long long one for us.

Watson is very unintelligent and has a huge opinion of himself. He is not a team players and thinks the team revolves around him.

Anyone who doesn't agree just google some of his interviews and listen for how many times the word I or ME is mentioned. Its always all about him.

And Mickey Arthur summed him up pretty well.

Not a fan.

Lets all just hope a few of these blokes stand up in the 2nd innings and we at least make it deep into day 5. Lots of rain would also be good.

They did score 300 last night, they wore our quicks down in the first two sessions and pretty much batted us out of the test match. In the last session against a tired bowling line up they picked up the pace. Classic test match cricket and something we should be learning from.

I want a Hughes and Khawaja 250 run stand. I'd also like a 100 run opening partnership. I am dreaming.

I said it should still have to hit in line! Just the same rules as the off side. Where it pitches doesn't matter. All that matters is hitting in line and hitting the stumps.

Keeping the hitting in line rule would stop all these negative tactics some of you are coming up with, but getting rid of the pitching outside leg rule would reduce negative batting.

It'll never happen, but it just frustrates me when a batsman not looking to score has basically zero chance of getting out.

If a batsman has zero chance of getting out then why does the idiot bowler keep bowling it there?

Answer: Because it's a negative BOWLING tactic, not batting, and why would a batsmen take extra risk to negate a negative bowling tactic when he doesn't have to?

I agree, thats why the rule was changed in the first place. There is nothing more boring than watching someone bowling around the wicket to try and restrict runs.

Now that England are a thousand runs in front, they could let Ashton Agar get the last five wickets so that we don't drop him.
