Oh dear. That's not good for Hughes. He would have had a chance of picking up some cheap runs at 6 like in the first test. He'll be lucky to make double figures at 4. Farewell test for Hughes I'm afraid.

Hate to say I told you so but...

Two wasted reviews into the bargain.

Comparing the averages of our top order batsmen bar Clarke against England is absolutely embarrassing, we are no f**king hope with the likes of Hughes, Watson, Smith batting for us

Lets just get Hussey, Ponting and Hayden back into the team, they would probably do better then the lot we have in their now.

Really we should have at least 3 out of the top 5, if not 4 as right handers. Bring in Silk and Doolan and bat them at 3 and 4 please. They can't be any worse than Hughes/Khawaja and Swann is not great to right handers.

Might as well bring in some promising youngsters into the team even though they would all be very raw, we arent going anywhere with the lot we have anyway so giving em some experience from an early start and trying to keep em away from 20/20 shit can only help us in the long term

Luckily Silk & Doolan are rubbish limited overs batsmen, and I see that as a good thing personally. More test-style batsmen the better!
