why are they calling this pitch 'slow'...

anytime australia cant make 280+ in an ODI they start talking about how 'slow' the pitch is...

then usually if the team chasing starts making it look easy they start saying its 'two paced'...
Dont know, the cricinfo preview was calling it slow and 2 paced after the last match where Victoria cleaned up SA, but that was more due to a firey spell of pace bowling as it was very quick

Seems to be the favourite call whenever a team fails to make a big score is blame the pitch

this australian batting performance in someways is worse than in perth... they just haven't shown another gear...

Nothing will match our efforts there that was truely shocking. Here we just lacked that big hitter probably a Symonds at 5.

i think our bowling performance is better than last week.... when you consider Clarke & Hussey got in and batted well... i was expecting something 250+ with those guys going well...

But Symonds is in worse form than White, in previous years White would have got 30* from that long at the crease, just having a bad year

Well we will know more when NZ bat, if it is as slow as the commentators say then the Kiwis will also struggle to up the tempo.
