Some people really need to let things go in regards to comparing wicket-keepers to Gilchrest. In the history of cricket, there have only ever been two wicket-keeper with whom I'd class as exceptional batsman..Gilly and Dhoni. Alec Stewart was also very solid. Every other wicket-keeper in history really scratches for their runs.

Ever heard of Kumar Sangakkara?

McCullum as well, I agree. It is pretty rare stuff though. We do not have a keeper like that in Australian cricket.

I watched a one day dead rubber between Pakistan v India. Absolutely dodgy bloke. His brother was certainly fixing in a test match when he refused to get Michael Hussey out.
