Get into the 40th over with those two still in hand and 300 is on still. All they had to do was go at a run a ball for 6 overs or so FFS....100-115 off the last 10 on a good track with Maxwell and Stoinis and Carey and even Starc and Cummins isn't out of the question by any means.

To be fair we are missing our 3 best batsman, so it will eventually come right, and if Sangha is the second coming of Punter we will be perfectly fine by the next world cup

These two now need to get us to the 43rd, 45th or so, going around 6s and then have Cummins have a crack. Carey needs to be Bevan here and be there in the last over. Starc coming in with 5-6 overs to go can give it a fair belt but you don't want him coming in with 12 to go and having to change his game.

250-260 is still on, if we're smart about it. The problem, inevitably, is that we don't think like that.
