FMD sounds Shitchell has got dirt on the whole if CA

He has been woeful since that tour of SA in 08 but you barely hear a bad word about him.

We will probably now see his melon on vodaphone or new sponsor tv ad for the upcoming season

Surely Patto wil get his chance in game 3..

Johnson should have "Only to be chosen at the WACA" stamped on his contract..Or at least "Never to be chosen in England"..The poms had the "Super Mitchy Johnson" chant going again last night,& the mental midget crumbles everytime he hears it..

why the f**k do they need to rush the bloke back in the ODI side in the first place?

give him the domestic season to see how he goes, and not just friggin bowling well in the nets to gain selection crap

Hope Clarke doesnt turn into another Punter and keeps out of form mates in the side

He waas utterly woeful last night.

His runup and front foot issues were kids stuff. Could not believe he was having that problem repeatedly at international level.

You can almost hear the Poms laughing because it's exactly what they went through with Steve Harmison. Every time I hear Border or Mark Waugh say 'you have to pick Johnson, he's such an X factor, on his day he's unplayable, etc' I cringe because it's what the Poms said about Harmison forever. Harmison - like Johnson - had two or three good test matches where he took 8/10 or whatever but the rest of the time - again, like Johnson - he was an absolute pie chucker.

To quote Kerry O'Keefe: 'A pie at 150kph is still a pie'. When are they going to realize that the more consistant options of Hilfenhaus, Pattinson or Siddle are better than hoping Johnson pulls his 1 in 20 game out of the bag?

"Mitch has been bowling very well in the nets, he's got good pace, as Pat Cummins does," Clarke said. "Pat Cummins has got that x-factor, and we thought Mitch does as well, he's left-arm so he brought something different, and as you've seen today he's swinging the ball."

everyone in the Australian camp should be banned from using the word "nets" and see if they can justify crappy selection without reference to them

Contracts are awarded on Net form Twizzle.

Apparantly he signed a 2 or 3 year deal last time? so that had to give him a contract.

f**king bravo CA. bravo

"He's been high on confidence.

"He's been bowling really well in the nets.

"It's his first game back so it's going to take a bit of time.

"It is great to have him back around the group."

James Sutherland is the Michael Searle of cricket.

Could be worse, could be getting John Buchanan-ised.
