The number of times this summer they have shown Haddin drop a diving catch...and Shane f**king Watson is at first slip TURNING HIS BACK ON THE CATCH...and then people wonder why Haddin is going for it?

You have no idea

No, Haddin should have caught it absolutely. It's just particularly frustrating watching him turn his back on so many replays....

I get what you're trying to say but you lose sight of the ball when the keeper has dived in front of you. If Haddin misses it and it hits Watson he's injured for 3 years knowing him. Haddin has taken loads of catches recently and dropped a few diving in front of the first slip. If he goes for it fine i've got no problems but there cant be any excuse if he fumbles it.

I just don't think a good slipper should be turning his back on the chance, even if the keeper is going for it. See Hashim Amla and the couple of rebounds he's taken off De Kock ion the past year or so. There was even an element of it in the Sharma edge earlier. Fair play, it didn't carry...but Watto didn't exactly go towards the ball either. He flinches IMO

Very sedate start, funny how a total of 329 seems like no big deal any more.
RRR is over 7, couple of wickets and they're in a hole.

What do you think McCullum would do if he's in the situation Australia are in??

Not bowl Mitch Johnson....

I think McCullum would look at Vettori to try and slow it up and build a bit of score board pressure (and also get some of his overs out of the way), but he has that option. Clarke doesn't really.

Four slips, mid on and mid off up, Boult and Southee bowl full with a hint of swing and invite the drive.
With this same attack.,. No Boult or Southee...

I don't think he would let the indian batsman cruise like this...
