328. We did good at the death to salvage that but still 25 runs short. They'll get us in the 48th over. You heard it here first.

Should have got 350 but let's face it 328 is still a very good score that's never been chased in a WC semi. India bowled and fielded well, it's not like we faced a minnow like Ingerland.

If we lose from here it will be more the bowlers fault in letting the team down. If we can't defend 328 we don't deserve to be in the final.

50 runs too short on this road

India will piss this in

the rot started when Smithy played a ridiculous shot to get out. there was no need for that at that stage of the game

That would be true if we were having this conversation back during the last World Cup in 2011.

However, since the rule changes involving fielding restrictions (only 4 allowed outside the circle in non-PP overs), that has made a huge difference and hence the regular 300+ scores and occasional 400+ scores in this tournament. Chasing 300+ is no longer a daunting task if you can keep wickets in hand up till the 35th over (when the batting powerplay is normally taken), especially on a flat pitch.

How many teams in the last year have successfully chased 328 or higher?

300-350 batting first is different to 300-350 batting second.

Those rule changes are a joke.

The high scores were basically against the minnows, this is also under the pressure of a WC semi Also the boundaries are not short like Eden park. If we lose it will be more the bowlers fault.

Absolutely correct call, but that's two edges now along with a glorious drive... typical Rohit
