YOu'd think this game was played in India based on the noise from the crowd.

Gone very quiet compared to the first 10 overs.

Well these two have the same chance the kiwis did...................

Kiwis no choke, RSA as usual did.

I would suggest AUS tend not to choke, Indian know a collapse better than most.

Enjoy it.

 maxwell came in on the power play and had to Tonk it.

Clarke came in when we had slowed our rate and had to go the tonk.

Warner got out cheaply but at least he didn't waste nearly half the balls for just 81 and then get out when we needed him to kick on. If you can't see how poorly finch batted on a belter of a pitch you have no idea.

this.

They're increasing it with ease, taking TheFinisher to the cleaners.
It's not over but it needs a massive swing to change this at the moment.
Australia look clueless.

At the risk of Dhoni making me look a prat for bringing this back up, I genuinely think people have forgotten how imposing a total 330 actually is to chase. It's 6.5 an over all innings. Score board pressure is a crazy thing, even against a listless attack. You always seem to think you have to go harder than you do. Add to that a deteriorating pitch, however slightly, an excellent fielding side, a good captain and a quality attack and chasing a score like this is never in your favour as a batting side. Something as simple as a batsman thinking "I know they're going to come back at me because of the quality of their side so I need to make hay while they aren't bowling well" can bring about a wicket. From there, pressure only builds on the new guys.

And no, I would have not have said a word if Raina and Dhawan were still at the crease

Here is what Dhoni will do.... tap it around till he gets to about 40 off 60, bust out the big shots when the run chase is near impossible, then go down as a "fighting 70". Before he attacks the rest of the order would have gone down attempting big shots.

I agree with all of that, but at the time Dhawan was just cruising and I didn't expect him to have a brain explosion. The match opened right up and Australia took full advantage, it looked very unlikely back then.

I've always thought of him as a negative player.

Yeah not having a crack by any means :) more just a comment on the fact that I think all these huge totals lately have skewed the perception of chasing 300+

Imo bowling out Hazlewood now is excellent captaincy - strangle any remaining life out of the Indian batsmen.
