5 Clarke double centuries?

he has 4 actually

in addition...
we scored 492 at the oval ( Clarke made 7)

No question, Clarke has been our best batsman last 2 years by a country mile, hopefully Warner, Smith can contribute more. Bailey to keep improving hopefully

Im not sure about Rogers. Adelaide is his best bet of a biggie

Ive given up on Watson, Good for a 20-30 that's about it, and also a good century every 2.5 years where he secures his place in the side automatically for another 2 years.

People are missing the point with Faulkner in for Bailey. He is there for Harris & Johnson, to make sure they don't have to bowl too many overs and can back up for Perth. If Harris & Johnson are 100% fit in Perth we win that test, guaranteed, the poms will piss their pants on that pitch.

And Faulkner will probably do just as well with the bat as Bailey, who looked bog ordinary in the first test. So really its a no brainer.

Small problem of Faulkner being BOG ordinary at both sides. The other issue of Haddin batting 6- just no. He is a number 7. You want to drop Bailey, fine, get another batsman in, not a licorice all sorts bits and pieces all rounder.

Yes, but see dude, that wouldn't solve the problem of needing an extra BOWLER in Adelaide. Because its a road and its a quick backup into Perth.

I know its a difficult concept but keep working on it. You will get there eventually.

It still gets down to a form of rotation and its more in preparation for Perth rather than trying to win at Adelaide.

A bit negative for mine.

This is the same Haddin that scored 150 runs in Brisbane?

Faulkner's First Class averages of 30.52 with the bat and 23.16 says that he isn't ordinary with either the bat or ball.

both locky and BM have said that Faulkner is crap/average.

Thats a pretty good omen.

His stats already aren't much different to Watson.

Then play Marcus North- in form and can bowl. You don't play batsmen to bowl! They are there to score runs! Smith is handy enough with the ball

Away from Tassie and those stats are not as good I would bet. It was a bowlers paradise down there for the last 2 years

In saying that though, that means his batting average should be higher because he has been batting on wickets that are a bowlers paradise. Bowling average of around 30 and batting average in the mid 30's makes him a perfect all-rounder

No it makes him a bits an pieces player- in other words a perfect ODI cricketer. He is just not that good at either aspect. He is okay at both, but being 'okay' doesn't win you test matches. Reminds me of the English all rounders they picked in the 90's!

you know, you could also be talking about Sunshine here, perfect ODI player but really hasn't cut the mustard at test level, particularly the batting
