Its addition by subtraction for the afl in adelaide, they used to play at a 50000 seat stadium, and now they play at a 40000 (or less?) Capacity adelaide oval

West lakes was a dinosaur for a venue in adelaide, difficult to access by public transport.

Capacity will be 55,000 for kick and clap.

Armageddon.

I hope the bloke planning to tackle Broad on Boxing Day goes through with it.
Can't stand the merkins smug face.

Stating the obvious but Prior's been just awful so far in these last 7 matches..

The test match last year was an epic, polarising stalemate

Australia scored at 5 rpo, with clarke and warner smashing imran tahir all over the place

And south africa "scored" at 1.5 rpo to survive with the draw. Faf dupessis got a hundred

And it was rob quiney's 2nd (and last  ) ever test match

I reckon were it not for the loss of Trott he'd have been dropped for Bairstow. They couldn't afford the loss of two senior men.

50 up for Bucky, well played.

Halfway through an interrupted day 1 and the rough is already out. It's going to play a big part in the second innings. And you people thought this wasn't a test pitch.

Rogers' timing is appalling 90% of the time. Can't knock his application but he is a battler at best. Meanwhile, Watson showing some patience and resolve. It's unbelievable how easy it is when you're not throwing your wicket away.

Imagine how embarrassing it would've been for your mate with spinners bowling from each end. Would have struggled to score a single run on the flattest, most lifeless pitch on earth.

I cannot believe the shit the umpires let the players get away with in terms of time wasting.

Agree re Rogers but he's a far better option than some of the geniuss we've had in the top order in the past few years. If he eeks out a 15-20 test career with an average of 37 and a strike rate of 40...he'll have done his job for Australian Cricket...

Yeah, though don't know if Bairstow is up to test standard in terms of keeping...

His keeping is pretty decent. He's the first choice keeper for his county.

Jos Buttler is also in the country with the England A team, but I reckon they'd have gone for Bairstow.
