Small positives: Green showed promise. And our bowlers still did well. Bowling them out for 326 in the first innings should have led to a competitive game...if our top 5 was vaguely competent.

Steve and Marnus are out of form and there is very little there to back them up in matches where they don't score big.

We need Warner and Pucovski in.

One of the more poor Aussie performances i have seen in Aus for a long long time.

Pathetic batting and even worse fielding, well done India on coming back from last test but we were very poor. Lost their captain and best bat and down a bowler and they hammered us. Changes are needed and not just playing personal.
I went to day 3, walked out at about 3 30. What a boring f**kin team.
And am I the only merkin in Australia that blames that t-20 shit for our batting? Ever since that garbage began, no merkin can leave a ball, everything gets a bat swung at it, and the team looks totally disinterested

That and the absolute drop in roads produced around the country.

Other countries should take a hard look at India’s planning and preparation for Australia. Everyone else is overawed, aside from the Poms and Jaapies sometimes.

Ironic as after the 1st Test Indian media was blasting Team India for their poor preparation for the tour.

Poms? They get tanked all the time here

If your referring to that 2010-11 series, would be outside the norm. Poms had a very good side for sure

However, we had a coach out of his depth with Australian cricket at the top level (Arthur)
Pressured by Warne 24/7 to debut the mighty Doherty and Beer - boot shaking stuff
We played Bollinger when he was no where fit, painful and pathetic to watch him bowl
We played Marcus North
Ponting as captain - thats enough said, he also persisted with sticking with under performing mates

South Africa, yes. They have got our measure a few times now over here, as we have plenty of times over there

Indias planning and preparation? They all come off 2 months from the IPL lol
and played t20 and ODI before the tests (plus two tour games)
Nothing flash about their preparation

worded that badly... meant Poms sometimes and Jaapies usually, the latter aided by similar conditions I guess
Mentally I guess, aside from the 36 they’ve been the stronger team.
Dunno but I think you lot underestimate how difficult it is touring there... we were woeful but the preparation was worse... just reading about John Reid and how Glenn Turner prepared them in 85, ironically our off field stuff was worse 35 years later
