this pitch certainly isn't playing like a green top
Oh the hypocrisy of the situation.
Just the look of this Perth Stadium pitch 5 years ago would've been enough for the BCCI to complain about it.
Now that for the first time in their 70 year test history India have got a good fast bowling quartet, the BCCI have absolutely no problems playing on these type of pitches, and even erratic ones such as Johannesburg earlier this year, where balls were spitting up at the head from a good length.
When India got rissoled at the WACA within 3 days in 2012 (which only had a light tinge of green compared to this one), they kicked up a big stink about it supposedly being a green top when the REAL green top was the Hobart pitch vs New Zealand a month earlier (which the Kiwis won by 7 runs), and hence why the WACA was excluded from the 2014/15 test series and all pitches that 2014/15 series were flat as a pancake, with only swing at the Gabba and pitch deterioration in Adelaide on day 5 offering anything for the bowlers.
