Good point about not playing India in Brisbane, would have got a far bigger crowd

Well I suppose the whispers that CA would be closing off the shaded areas could have stopped a lot of people going...

Shocking really, when you consider it's the first ever test at the ground. Apparently pre-sales for Saturday and Sunday are dire as well.

We now have seven test grounds with Canberra in play and I'd really like to see the Gold Coast and possibly other regional areas like Newcastle (no suitable venue at the moment, but one can hope) or Geelong start to bid.

If we're only going to have six tests per summer CA meed to make it a competitive process and if people don't show up, you don't get the match. Perth's advantage that it has the evening hours on the east coast don't really apply anymore because barring India we can just play the test as a day-nighter.
