Huh? El D an AFL fan? I thought he hated AFL with vehement passion
He acts like he does, but the only people pathetic anyone to devote that much of their time to hating something that doesn't affect them usually have a deep love for that thing that confuses them.

Like white supremacists who have affairs with black people, or homophobes who end up coming out of the closet in middle age.

El D probably has a Collingwood jumper at the bottom of his closet.

Canberra would have to be the most boring capital in the world. Thats why Todd Carney had to make his own fun.

3/37 before Ponting, Clarke and Hussey got a combined 600 runs.

Hughes would have been even money to get us off to a better start on this flat pitch against bowlers throwing up nothing.

Marsh proves why you don't pick out of form players, and Hughes is exactly that, he can't buy a run and hasn't played for 2 weeks (yes not his fault but still it is a factor). Warner should have belted that ball, you bowl it 10 times, he belts it for 4 9 times, he got out, I'll back him to hit it for 4 the next time. Cowan was pretty unlucky to be honest but you need a solid opener like him, Hughes has awful technique!

McIntosh was hardly that bad in fact he'd be better than McCullum playing slogs and getting out! I would take a 30-50 off Cowan every innings

 come on now Locky. He had a few reasonable innings but he had some technical flaws that weren't hard to expose. Especially against left arm bowlers.

Canberra > Wellington.

Khawaja should be the solid opener instead of Cowan. Hughes should be the attacker and given license to play naturally.

Yes he has that technical issue but plenty of successful players have had technical issues. He's proven himself at every level when he's played his natural attacking style. IMO he's a tougher version of Warner.

Dead serious, if NZ had McIntosh they may not be 5 for bugger all every test and McCullum despite what his massive ego says, he is not an opener!

Khawaja is not in form, Cowan is coming off 3-4 tons in the last 6 FC games...he was in better form.Hughes has terrible technique, he needs to know how to put balls away off his pads. What is the best way to get the slips out, play though the leg side a bit.

Michael Clarke has now crossed over into that rare realm where kids of an impressionable age will now go into there back yards and pretend to be Michael Clarke, like my generation did with Dean Jones, Steve Waugh, Shane Warne etc.

Is it un-Australian that is used to be Viv??..:o:?

I was AB when i had to bat left handed to the mum & the girls..

Indeed and got to live his backyard dream.......

Can see a young kid in west Sydney hit the ball a pretend it was his 300 at the SCG.....then does it.
