Agreed. The drop catch that was completely unforgivable was that one just before stumps yesterday. At ANY FORM OF THE GAME (including club cricket), if you don't catch those ones, the coach will simply say "you aren't a wicketkeeper".

The one last night was a shocker no doubt but Tendulkar's one was almost impossible off a spinner. He did quite quite a good job getting a glove on it actually given the size of the deflection.

Is that you fasteddie..didn't recognise you?:D Still stirring the pot...

Hey mate, nah just thought it was good work by Haddin to just flick it on, got to give him respect for that while most people bag him. I think that should secure his spot for the rest of the series at least.

Hussey is 10 times the Cricketer Waugh ever was.

:lol:You're not serious, are you? Don't get me wrong, Hussey is a fantastic cricketer and one of the best we've had over the last decade. But, Mark Waugh was one of the most naturally gifted batsmen to ever play cricket. All you have to do is have a look at his immaculate strokeplay when he was on song. His technique was even more natural than Gilchrists. However, like my high school friend that I made reference to in a previous post (the one that played alongside Moises Henriques) and like many ppl in society in low paying jobs , lack of discipline and motivation was his downfall and hence his statistics are not an accurate reflection of his skill and ability. Greg Blewett is another one who was like Mark Waugh. Absolutely murdered it at state level and for Australia A, and his 214 vs South Africa in '97 was one of the most beautiful innings to watch. But, at the end of the day, 4 centuries from 46 tests was the culmination of the same reasons why Mark Waugh only averaged 41 in his test career.

Absolutely. And not just that he dropped it, but that he missed it by so far. As I said, Haddin deserves criticism and it's clear his career is in its death throes, but the criticism has to be sensible.

Why play Lyon if you are not going to use the f**k out of him at the SCG. Rather have had Harris
Lyon shouldn't have been picked for this one. It was obvious to see it wouldn't be great for spinners and even before the wicket Clarke looked more penetrating than Lyon has.

Laxman GORN, game over.

Doens't matter if he looked better while batting or had more ability, didn't turn into outstanding results. I heard during his career he would rather be out partying in various nightclubs or shopping than putting in the hard work like Hussey in the nets. He was haunted by that great line by Adam Parore and could never quite get his career back on track after that.

Moved in slightly, moved away off the bounce, flicked the top of off stump. Pretty close to the perfect fast bowlers delivery.
