Not surprised re Starc, he has bowled his guts out on this road.

Smith will go defensive in 30 minutes and make the decision look even more pointless

Not sure why he bothers listening to those gimps on channel 9, it's like they talked him into a declaration.

Geez there are some plodders on the ABC. All three in the lunch break show agreed Australia had less to lose by pushing for a win than NZ, and one thought going to Adelaide 1-0 would be more of a risk than going 1-1 :?

I think for the first time in a while (perhaps my lifetime) I would prefer to listen to CH9 (if only be default).

No more Kerry O'Keefe = no more ABC radio for me.

I will only tune into the radio to listen cricket if I'm nowhere near a tv. Otherwise, I have no need to hear a 'taxpayer service' with all the AFL ramblings, let alone crap commentary in general. At least when Kerry was there, not only was he humorous, but he kept the pro-AFLers in line (e.g. Drew Morphett) and also had good cricket analysis in general. Miss his commentary stints alongside Harsha Bhogle

ABC radio has generally be fine. Jim and Waddle are good, Katich and Nannes have generally be good. Whateley is a bit grating and I don't like Terry Alderman all that much, but Chris Rogers was excellent in Brisbane. Still a much better broadcast than Nein.

Has anyone here been listening to the 2UE commentary (I believe Macquarie Radio Network have the commercial radio rights)? Hows that been like?

I dunno why they (in the dressing room) were listening to them with that yellow earpiece device. If he has to rely on gimps like Brayshaw to coach him, he's screwed:lol:

Channel 9 got exactly what they wanted so no surprise there was a declaration. Got to justify showing the cricket at 7pm through to 9pm on a Tuesday night in November.

“Steve, the cameras are on you now. Can you hear us? (*Steve nods his head*). Ok, Steve, we need you to declare now, so we can go straight to the Channel 9 newsroom and take on the bastards at Channel 7"

On a more serious note, remember that ODI at the WACA last year vs South Africa where the dinner break was 1 hour (instead of 45 minutes) so that Ch9 were able to start the 2nd innings right after the news at 6:30pm?

I do, mostly because I was there. Australia got rolled for 150 odd batting first didn't they?

The Kookaburra people all need to be sacked, someone sack the people of Kookaburra,f**king joke

The Kooka is probabaly the only constant here.

The variables are the concrete pitch and the bats are getting thicker.

Perhaps the constant is not the problem but it may have to be further development as the variables vary.
