Australia have killed any chance of a result. Msy as well bat the innings out now.

Tubby is delusional, thinking that Smith is going to declare to win the game.

Any chance of an Australian win went out the door when Smith got out early and only 20 runs or so were scored in that first hour. And as has been stated before, any early declaration from Australia is going to play perfectly into NZ's hands. NZ can shut up shop if they lose some early wickets and bat for a draw, but if they get off to a cracker of a start with wickets in hand, then they will win.

Agreed, unless he got off to a flier a draw or a Kiwi win was all that could of happened today.

New ball has brought runs, that has to be the worry for us when we are bowling.

Shot!!! Johnson going out with a bang.

Its just a draw pitch. Its only because modern cricketers score so quickly is a result even slightly possible.

Lunch. Australia lead by 266.

Those flurry of runs scored and no loss of wickets since the new ball was taken are going to be enough to secure the draw.

Made it to lunch with a lead of 266, Neville playing a good tough innings here and showing why he probably should be batting ahead of MMarsh. Probably need about an hour of batting to make this game safe.

Wonder if Uzi will be right to bat if they absolutely need him.

If McCullum and Taylor go for it, anything can happen. Need to bat on to put the Kiwi win beyond a possibility.

Geez there are some plodders on the ABC. All three in the lunch break show agreed Australia had less to lose by pushing for a win than NZ, and one thought going to Adelaide 1-0 would be more of a risk than going 1-1 :?

I think for the first time in a while (perhaps my lifetime) I would prefer to listen to CH9 (if only be default).
