Need 400 minimum IMO.

Sth Africa have chased down 430 odd in the 4th Innings of a Test against Australia last tour hear and I think they'll be bouyed by they that.

That wicket was an absolute road that didn't break up at all, this one is already playing a few tricks but yes i'd love a 400 lead to feel safe.

so great to see Steyn back to bowling with some intent, hopefully that shuts the commentators up about him, the way they've been talking about him this series reflects just how little they know, he had just been unwell.

I think the match is almost even now, a lot depends on how many runs this partnership makes. Will Pattinson come out and bat again?

I'm sure you just equated the number of draws in an era as directly proportional to the number of cricket pitches which are roads.
So if the pitches did a lot more back then and the bowling was better why in the last 10 or 15 years have we seen more results than the 60,70. and 80's????

I believe a lot of it can be put down to Steve Waugh and Australia's agressive mindset in the late 90's which did a lot to change the game.

I completely agree, Waugh was a very aggressive captain and with the team he had it lead to a lot less draws. Hayden opening led to very good run rates and with the bowlers he had he could afford to declare with 'makeable' scores. That's why I'd love Warner be kept as an opener even if he has a lot of failures. He is capable of scoring runs quickly and with the bowlers we've got coming through it looks very exiting in a couple of years. I don't think this pitch is any different to previous years either, plenty of runs for the first innings then the demons appear. Tomorrow looks like a great day.

that shot from Punter was terrible, feet glued to the pitch, hung the bat out to dry and on an angle which is worse, and along way from his body, so may things wrong with it

that last hour was great test match cricket, Morne bowled brilliantly to Clarke then Clarkie punches him through covers for 4, Steyne bowling at 145ks to Siddle and a bit of banter, it just doesn't get any better

oh, and see ya Quiney, he would have gone anyway cuz Watson will be back for Perth

we're in the box seat, this pitch deteriorates quick after 3 days of being baked and its has been pretty hot so I reckon 300 will be very hard for anyone to get but we are down a bowler so its gonna be hard work

I think the record for a chase at Adelaide is 315 scored over 100 years ago, but we are down a bowler by the looks. Thank god they picked Bob"Mr fixit" Quiney.

hopefully we can make them chase 300+(i think that will be hard for them if the pitch starts to go).

good chance for lyon, clarke and warner to weave some magic.

How much is a lot? How greater percentage increase in the number of results are you talking?
