Still a long way to go, but geez a draw would be a crushing result for us imo. For us to be 0-0 and still a chance to lose this series would be a massive disappointment
Australia plays a style of cricket that aims to not be in the situation to stonewall.
Under the Waugh and Ponting years, Australia lost 1 or 2 test matches they should have saved or could have been saved because they went for the runs :x. There was only 1 test match the Australians did 'save', the one against England in Manchester when Mcgrath had to survive a couple of overs. HOWEVER! England is the ultimate cricket team that knows how to stonewall
If Americans were watching this match they would have no idea what is going on: Ie 'Why arent they attacking? Why arent they going for the runs?' The game is scheduled to be over today, dont they have to get 430 before the end of the day?
Isn't this all about who can bowl the most sh**house and entice the batsmen? As long as you're bowling balls they can't hit along the ground shouldn't we be bowling up cherries? Ah that's right, that's what Lyon and Clarkie have been offering them? I was thinking more about our fast bowlers mixing up their pace and dropping down a dozen gears with the odd sloth ball just to throw some unpredictability out there?...Yawwwwwn :?
