Siddle needs to pitch it up, get whatever swing is available and try to get Steyn driving and knicking, leading edge, bring LBW genuinely into play. This medium length stuff at the body might draw an on-side catch but it's not making Steyn think about it too much. Similarly, get Du Plessis moving around if he's got an injury, get him either moving across to block it out or make some tight leaves, where one might swing late or nip back in to collect off.

Tough to fault our boys, they haven't done a whole lot wrong IMO...worked hard, decent fields set, trying things...Pattinsons injury hurt us a hell of a lot, and AB and Du Plessis batted like absolute rocks for the most part. We can still get there, but if we don't it will be because of what SA have done right with the luck they were handed when we lost our strike bowler, not what we've done wrong

Patto was a big loss and playing without Watto was a double blow. This sort of pitch would have been tailor made for him. Our attack is pretty limited and Starc had to play in this game. Faf has played a great knock and it makes you wonder how a nuffy like Red Nose is playing ahead of him????
