Well played South Africa.

Quick wickets in the morning would be nice but I can see them digging their heels in and cruising to an innings win.

Just like the last test was Perth 2012 all over again, this is Trent Bridge 2015.

So 15 wickets and 256 runs for the day, although I'd love to see the positions reversed it's been real test cricket, with bowlers and batsmen who work hard getting rewards.

Philander outstanding.
SA showing us up as the best fielding team in the world.
Starc giving us a very slim chance of getting back somehow.
De kock could take it away from us quickly.

What is recognised as Australia's worst ever test series? Cause I think India in 2017 is shaping up to beat it.

Picking a bowler because his supposedly superior batting gives him an advantage, despite being far shitter at the job he's actually supposed to be doing. Huge difference that made, eh.

Cricket Australia: that is the directors, management, selectors, and the support staff for the national team - have lost the f**king plot, completely.

You can't defend 85 - simple as that, but they've done well to ensure the deficit might not be completely insurmountable

Philander is quite simple an outstanding bowler in the right conditions - Hadlee like given a deck that moves off the seam a bit - he was wonderful today, could possibly have been worse for Australia if he and Smith hadn't collided

I'd say this team would struggle to beat the third XI Packer era 1978 team that got towelled up by the Poms and WIndies.

We are becoming the West Indies.....

How far away are James Pattinson and Patrick Cummins? Pattinson could have done some damage today imo
It won't matter who we've got bowling for us if the batsmen keep getting rolled for sub-200 scores so regularly. Geez, 200 would have been nice today....

Pattinson and Cummins are probably faking injury so they don't have to try and save these useless merkins

Might have been mentioned elsewhere but does anyone else think Joe Burns looks like that merkin that hosts the Bachelor or Bachelorette or whatever on channel 10?

Disgraceful they are.

How did they pick Mennie as a bowler for tests, my mind boggles.

Won't be long before Siddle gets back in when fit. He's heaps better than Mennie.

Warner is either diamonds or rocks
Burns doesn't have the technique
Khawaja well he's a very good state cricketer. Not up to test standard.
Smith well he's our best. If only others had the technique he does.
Voges is struggling and getting older. He needs to retire.
S. Marsh imo isn't up to test cricket. I think he will fail when he comes back in.
Ferguson isn't up to it. His first class average isn't the best either just like Burns.
M. Marsh just doesn't have the fight or technique to bat at 6. He's a number 8.
Nevill I expected more from. It's unnacceptable so far is his batting. Everyone had a go at Haddin. Well look at his average of nearly 33. Nevill will not get anywhere near that. Nevill doesn't play positively enough either.

Our bowling isn't really a problem.

Hazlewood and Starc will be there long term.

The bad news is no ones really performing in shield cricket. Gone are the days you had to average at least 45 to get into the Aus side.

Geez Pakistan will be shitting themselves watching us won't they!!!

Goodness me if nothing changes we will be cannon fodder for them.

Early next year are the Aussies touring India??? I thought I heard they were. Won't even last 2 days over there.
