Haha this aussie side is a bit like parra...used to be amazing but just shite now. At least the eels look to be on the improve!

Thankfully they've never had Kearney or Sticky destroying them from the inside!

Plenty of improvement in this lot, but we do have to trim the dead wood.

These days I reckon you need 4 batsmen and 3 bowlers you can really rely on. There just aren't enough champion cricketers around the world IMO to create teams like the one we had under Waugh. Even India carry a couple of spuds and they have 45 billion people to choose from.

Smith is world class, Warner is very good most of the time, Renshaw, Handscomb, Cartwright, Cummins, Agar vary from promising to potentially excellent. Khawaja is an enigma but when he's on he is really on....we've also got the best pace attack in world cricket at full strength that we haven't been able to use over there.

Realistically we need a proper quality spinner and another batsman or two in the middle order. And obviously a keeper. Renshaw, Warner, Khawaja, Smith, Handscomb is a pretty good top 5. And the pace attack is not an issue, we could bring in two genuine test quicks who are outside the Test match core.

Big issue is that we have weak points in the lineup that generate collapses. Mostly around Wade/Maxwell/Marsh (when selected). I can't really blame Khawaja and Cartwright for this series, one hasn't played cricket in six months and the other is playing his second test.
