just Taylor guessing, but yeah it's incredibly strange - there isn't a reality that exists that you'd rather have Kuggeleijn bowling than Wagner - even in his current aging state (I'm ok with Jamieson, O'Rourke and perhaps Sears)... and if he's too old and slow then the same questions have to be floating around about the captain... let alone against Australia - and he's a left armer who specifically creates awkward anglesThe 'forced retirement' wording is puzzling to me, unless Wagner was told he was down to something like 8th in the pecking order it doesn't really make sense.
There must be some stuff we still don't know about this, the whole situation is strange.
Pretty awesome attack tbh, relentlessMitchell Starc is 1 wickets off Dennis Lillee's tally of 355
The lead bowling attack are all in the top 10 on Australia's all time wicket taker list - with Pat the lowest with 264 wickets

Starc has played about 20 more matchesso if Starc get a few more wickets is he a better bowler than DKL ?
f**k no
Just ask the England Cricket team of Bazballers doesn't matter how many runs you score or what you batting average you finish with.Plenty of batsmen have surpassed Bradman's 6996 runs, doesn't mean they're better.
not close imo, but his strike rate is impressive... Lillee for me was amazing, and no bigger compliment than Hadlee modelled himself on him...so if Starc get a few more wickets is he a better bowler than DKL ?
f**k no
yep - as I recall, Hadlee got to 355 in exactly the same number of tests, if you extrapolate some of the greats from previous generations to the number of tests modern players get (as many of them played as long in terms of years), you get some scary numbers, and as above, Bradman would be insane (already is, of course)Starc has played about 20 more matches
2019 WC Final. Ball flying 10cm over middle and leg for Ross Taylor. Guptill the muppet had burnt the review when plumb LBW.I didnt mind Erasmus always seemed like he had the players under control out on the field.
I dont recall too many howlers from him over the years that stand out in memory.
Be nice if Joel Wilson joined him though in retirement. We will probably get him for the blockbuster india series next summer.
