I would have liked to have see us declare when Taylor got out or at the first drinks break. A chase of 230 and the carrot would still have been dangling even if we had then 80/4.

There was still 5 overs left with 60 odd to get. Did the captains call time early? Couldn't have been the light as they were using lights

Giving them 30 less runs with more over? they get there in the end pretty easily

I think it worked out well considering. Though would have liked Pakistan to go for it a bit more earlier on


Pretty good test match, Sides were pretty even throughout (due to Pakistan not batting first)

They did call it early - I think there would have been a result either way with that declaration. The only reason I would support such a risky declaration is if we lose the toss in the third test it is effectively series over. But we do have a 50/50 chance of winning the toss so it was the smarter move - unless we lose it haha.

NZ definitely need to push their scoring rate to 3-3.5 in the first innings of the third test.
