Defensive. You have to remember though that there has been a lot of rain in Durban so McDonald will do well there, however I don't agree with the choice

Usual Durban conditions, very seam friendly. Probably teh most seam friendly pitch in South Africa, plus it has been raining in Durban. I still would bat first.

Yep, exactly like a normal Durban pitch. IMO the 3rd test will suit the spinners and we'll be mad not to play one there, but spinners were a longshot to play in the first 2 tests. It was a huge surprise they took 2 spinners in a 15 man squad.
