Is that the 5th toss in a row that Punter has won vs RSA in tests?

Which i think is a huge advantage between two fairly evenly matched teams. I actually thought the main factor in England winning the 05 Ashes was that we won the toss every time from the 2nd test onwards which allowed us to bat first and post big scores.

And now with Australia's powerful batting line-up it looks like theyve finally got that part of their game sorted out over these last few Tests. So to continually chase over 400 makes it very hard for South Africa.

As for Hughes, i reckon he's almost a given for 10'000 Test runs given his age. Similar in that sense to Graeme Smith who started at around age 20/21 and already has some 7000 runs at about 27.

Seems like it. As they say your luck evens out as during India he couldn't win one and on those tracks you want to bat first but we were stuck bowling first in all the games IIRC.

They should, if Hughes get out on 99...

if he gets out for 100 he can now thank the Saffers for referring it

they're not good with Hughes. out twice in the second innings in the 1st test and no referral. not out here in the first innings and they referred it
