Great effort to bowl them out for 266, Siddle was ok but too many 4 balls. Johnson rubbish, it is his last test. Lyon came back well and Cummins was surprisingly tight.

Watson seems to be our best bowler

Notch is still shit and Sids is still all huff and puff

Like to see Cummins keep his head up a bit more upright, his head falls over sometimes in his delivery stride and he tends to stray down the leg side when he does that. He was still our tightest bowler and at 18 years old doesn't say much for the other two. Nice outfield catch tho.

Lyon is pretty ordinary if he's out bowled by Clarkie, we really are struggling in that area.

Needs more Dougie.

Definitely doesn't.

also we are prolly gonna have to open with Hughes and Oozi which will blunt Stein's away swing to right handed opening batsmen like Sunshine, assuming his injury prevents him from opening the batting

could be a good thing

Well thats a pretty good day.

Amla, Kallis, Prince, AB and Boucher throwing their wickets away helped. Siddle deserved some rewards, had bowled reasonably well without luck.

Australia should be happy with their efforts, SA pissed off with theirs, to be bowled out for less than 300 against that attack is woeful.

Big test for Hughes, Watson and Khawaja against a fired up steyn and morkel. I've got a feeling that both Ponting and Haddin will score runs in this test guaranteeing their place in the team until 2027.

A few have mentioned bollinger. My issue with the rug is that he only has one decent spell in him an innings. He fires in in his opening spell than after that he's Mitch Johnson.

A good day for Australia in the end.

Cummins bowled really world and deserved more than the 1 wicket. Johnson was crap, it is definitely time for him to get dropped.

I think this is a case where Australia needs to only bat once and post approx 500 thereby giving them enough time to bowl SA out who would have no problem playing for a draw.

Australia won't get close to 500.

They'll be lucky to get 250.

Key for Sth Africa is the get Clarke, Hussey and Ussie early.

No one else poses a threat to them.
