Agree with everything Red Bear has said. They're taking random gambles hoping eventually one will pay off.

No planning for post 2007 and it is still costing us.

I rated him prior to that last Ashes series. The only Australian bowler I continued to rate coming out of that series was Harris

You are correct, however pressure from fans, media etc. is as much to blame for this as anything else.

As soon as we go crap everyone is an expert and knows what’s best for the team.

If they are going to put young blokes in, they need to give them a lengthy stay.

All shall be revealed shortly. Nothing here yet in terms of the eleven. What's the protocol for naming the final 11 in terms of timing?

the protocol is that teams are officially named at the toss, but sometimes we find out about half an hour before the toss.

That's what I thought with it being at the toss. I guess the team sheets are given to the match referee who is present with the captains and a gibberer from the host broadcaster.

No Harris..Not a good start..

It'll be interesting to see who gets the new ball when we bowl..Will they throw Cummins straight into the guts of it??..

They maybe should give Watson the new ball. Johnson getting any ball scares me a bit these days

Was Johnson shit before the 2009 Ashes? Because I don't remember him being that bad before then, but he was ridiculously unprofessional and downright rubbish in that series and hasn't been much better ever since.

Pre-2009 he had this uncany ability to take wickets even when bowling shit.

So our best bowler isn't playing and we pick 3 guys that could go for plenty  Were is the balance in the attack??? You pick two guys like Shichell and Shittle you need a steady head like Copeland in the line up

We got sunshine to bowl 40 overs per dig mate, should be right (concerned for locky though, not sure he has the stamina of a hoover)
