Why bring the spinner on against sweepaholic Lyon?

Yeah he might get him, probably even get him sweeping....but if he does that four or five times that's big in the context of a modest total

Shame for Paine to be the one to go, he batted brilliantly. Top cherry though

243 is a handy enough total given the conditions. Only issue is now I can't go to bed because I want to see us bowl on this lol

Rabada could miss the rest of the series

https://www.cricket.com.au/news/kag...erit-points-south-africa-australia/2018-03-10

Proteas pace ace Kagiso Rabada ripped through Australia on day one in Port Elizabeth but the fast bowler could be in danger of missing the rest of the series after coming into contact with visiting captain Steve Smith.

Midway through bulldozing Australia in a spell of 5-13 either side of tea, Rabada trapped Smith lbw for 24 and wildly celebrated the wicket of the world’s best Test batsman.

But as he passed Smith, who was considering asking for a review, Rabada yelled again and brushed the shoulder of the batsman.

Smith immediately turned around and looked back at the bowler before referring his dismissal that proved to be plumb in front.

Rabada has already missed a Test through suspension – at Trent Bridge last July – having accrued four demerit points for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct on multiple occasions.

I said at the time he was starting to behave more like Demerit Rabada again.

It was silly and deliberate contact.
