both teams appear more balanced, now we really need our spine to show case well orchestrated set plays, eyes up football, so they are making the right decisions as opposed to the disorderly rabble we most recently witnessed. I've noticed that Kasey Badger hates JDB. Every time she is in the bunker, she will find a way to go back and ping JDB for a tackle that happened much earlier. It happened too many times in 2023 for it to be a coincidence.

Or maybe JdB is just a dumbass ref magnet asking to get pinged...

I agree with that and also any female official will target him cause of his past indiscretions. Can’t blame them really. I know we should forgive and forget but what he did was unforgivable.

I agree and I think the newbies need more game time like Jesse Marschke, Leilua & RFM as well as Sele.

Made the mistake of listening to daily telegraph wrap of last weeks game, they totally give it to us. Long season, nothing to look forward to, couldn’t even compete against reserve grade Souths blah blah blah.

If the game is still tight after 20 or so minutes, whoever replaces Lawrie & FMolo will need to keep the momentum going, we generally start to lose the ruck when they go off, want to also see when we hit in defence that we stick and drop them, not letting them get too many PCM and line speed needs to be good through the whole game, time for Fifita to step up and show something tonight, would have loved to see Tuitavake have a run tonight as well

You mean like it was in the shield ? 2nd 20 in the first half was fine from a prop perspective .. it was when the 3rd and 4th stringers got on that the game got away from us in the 2nd half.

Unless there are a lot of injuries/suspensions our pack is not going to be the reason we lose games

Yah this is essentially a spoon-bowl game, obviously its infinitely more important we win the actual season games against them.. but this is as easy as an opposition as we will get all year... would be nice to win or atleast win the 1st half, and show we can score some points..

Failing all that, I'd atleast like to see how Lomax fares @1.

It’s not the spoon bowl.
It’s a new season, everyone is on equal points.
If it were last season it would be the spoon bowl, this season it’s a game with two clubs on the up.
Should be a good game.
