The two strange calls against us (we also got some), were Beale clearing knocking on a bomb (ruled a knock on by us, their try comes two sets off that from memory), and when Maloney fielded in goal, he runs 3-4 metres out, gets tackled, and then gets dragged back to the try line... deadset penalty every day of the week.

Refs put their whistle away in the second half. Obviously decided to do so at half time.

Yeah I thought the dragging one was the worst, the ref was about two metres away and watched as Maloney went to ground with a hand on him and the then the guy grabs his leg and pulls him back a good few metres

It was ridiculous...
Yet he was happy to give away two pretty soft ruck penalties, in front of our posts, when the scores were tied, to give the Broncos the lead.

Were those the only two penalties in the second half?

I remember Locke rushing to get the ball when we had a penalty (was it the easy one from in front that Maloney muffed?). Was he wanting to take a quick tap, or take the penalty rather than Maloney?

That Dodds guy was doing grubby shit like that all night long and only got pinged once or twice. The leg drag was by far the most blatant, though.

Maloney was terrible but based on previous threads i have a feeling that if he kicked at least 2 of those conversions and they win there would of been a few people giving him points this week.

One thing that f**ked me off last night was the kicking on the 3rd or 4th tackle despite the team making 10+ m per hit up.

Can't fully blame Maloney/ Johnson needs to get far more involved. Seems they only ever kick long with Jimmy

It looks to me like Maloney as one the senior players has decided to take more control of the team as the finals get closer.

Not criticising the guy for criticisings sake, but I dont like Mateos version of wet weather footy.

Thought he was quite reckless at times..

He's that sort of bloke, it either comes off or not I suppose.

1. Manu - strong comeback game apart from the odd dropped ball

I thought we performed very strongly against a good side, happy with our effort and we are looking back on track.

Lets just see how 2013 goes without Maloney. Maloney is a tough little rooster with a football brain.

Lets hope if they throw Tommy L in 6 next year he goes better.

He was rather instrumental in contributing to the Warriors loss yesterday. Looked like a pretty shithouse player to me.
