Dallin was good today. He got peppered with bombs but diffused them. Did he rush in on defence though?

Reckon Wayne said kick to Dallin but he didn't drop anything but he did miss tackles from being infield

That's why I didn't give him points because I had a feeling the 'bad Dallin' was still at it.

Also, well done Alex Johnston. Two hundred tries. Decent bloke too.

3 - CNK. I've been a critic but his heart and workload can't be questioned. haven't seen his stats yet but they'll be impressive.
2- Capewell. Really leading the defense.
1- Halasima. It was a toss up between him and RTS. Could have gone either way. I said it last week and I'll say again, we need to find ways to unlock his attack.

HM - CHT, RTS, Pompey (that left side was really solid), Vaimauga, Egan.

ABC radio had CNK at 28 runs for 343m or something crazy like that. He cracked 200m in the first half.

edit: official NRL stats: 28 runs, 342m, 100 post-contact metres, 8 tackle breaks, 1 line break and a try. Absolutely huge.

Clark got through 132m and 48 tackles too.

03: Ford - Immense work and metres from Jackson. Our best improved player from 2024. A try assist too.

02: CNK - Still charging it up and a great work ethic.

01: RTS - Roger is starting to heat up at the wing now, great to see.

HM: Clark, Vaimauga, Capewell, to name a few but overall, a team performance to be proud of.

DM: Goal kicking still needs work and R&S girlfriend DWZ is still every team's target for a reason. He needs to make way for Taine or Kosi (Yeah, I said it).

Rabbits scored off his drop ball. Ironically it was on his wing they scored. Let's call it how we all see and know who's our weakest link in the team. Lionel Ritchie-Zelensniak. Every team is targeting him. Nobody has gone on RTS side. Promote Taine or King Kosi back to the first-grade team.

Edit: Latrell could see Dallin in field where a centre normally is to throw that great pass for another try.

3 - CNK
2 - Ford
1 - RTS

HM - Egan, Clark, Metcalf (would've given him points except for his kicking - 42-30 looks much better than 36-30), CHT

Gutted for Barnett. Hope the prognosis isn't too bad.
Gutted for Berry, too. Was playing really well again until he got hurt. Feel like the club needs to take time to get him fit. If he gets a full preseason, he'll be massive next year, imo

Latrell put Souths on his back and nearly got them home. When he's in a mood he's nearly impossible to defend.

DM - DWZ - aside from his defense, he now seems to be afraid of contact. This was his 4th game back. He should have jumped that hurdle already.

3. CNK. All effort.
2. Egan
1. Capewell.

HM. CHT. He does a lot of good things and is a solid defender.

When a winger scores a hat-trick you know there is a problem with the defence. In Dallin's case he just isn't there.
What's up with the coaching staff that they don't do something about this?

3. CNK - Just an insane level of metres but was also involved a few breaks
2. Ford - Had to step up again with Barney out and delivered, hilariously with a try assist to boot
1. Clark - A little impossible to not hand him points

HM Metcalf, those missed kicks are painful and hopefully he sorts it because he was the architect of so many good plays. Egan and RTS were fantastic too, even Dallin looked like he was getting his mojo back.

The scoreline is a bit deceiving, we mostly killed the Bunnies but for 15 mins of an inspired Latrell.

The best thing about this team is that we're not choking these tight ones; last year we were missing a bit of clutch and an extra inch of steel.

Watching the highlights you can feel the roar of the crowd when Metcalf beats that last defender on his try-scoring run.

We knew we seriously lacked pace as a team and we knew Metcalf was the exception. It was great to see it on display.
