3- RTS. Just looked all class. Particularly liked the way he set up Kata's try, running straight at the defence and holding it up, then a perfect ball across the face. Excited about him this season

2- Hoffman. Thought it was outrageous when people said he wouldn't be a big loss with the rumoured injury in pre-season.

1- Mannering. Might've got 3 if he'd not been injured. Immense. Showed how f**king wasted he was under McFudd, using him as a tackle bot.

Lillyman, SJ, Fus all good too.

Johnson looked good.
Lillyman came on and swung the match a bit.

Most of the rest were very mediocre, alarming given the opposition and the opportunity to start the season fresh.

Maumalo and Tui are really struggling, Fus hasn't got the hang of centre defence despite his good attack.

No point slamming McDud when Kearney barely seems to be doing anything different.

3. Mannering. Huge, even though it was only half a game, Hope he's OK.
2. RTS. Class. Glad he's back.
1. Hoffman. Really put in and Ata gave him the ball on attack.

HM's: Johnson. looks so much more threatening playing more direct,
. Hingano. First full game. I thought he went really well.
Fusitua. Scored a hat-trick. Unlocky not to get points.
Afoa. Didn't look out of place. Full of running and did a lot of the props work.

Our shortage of class props is going to hurt us. When Lillyman is our best then we are struggling.

Lisone needs to pull his head in. He bends the line like Miss Muppett and does really stupid things.
Maumalo was just like Manu. Ran the ball up well but can't do the basics. (Maybe we should retire the No 5 jersey. There is obviously a flaw in it.)
Lolohea. Next time someone makes an offer let him go. Hopeless.

3. RTS - did everything right. Love having him as a 3rd playmaker when we get in attacking zone. Also defended better than last year at the back.
2. Mannering - just huge in every way. Hope he's OK for Friday.
1. Johnson - playing direct, running at the line. SICK flick to Fus for that pre-half try. But I would criticise the predictable ineffective bomb kick to the corner every set. Needs to up the kicking game.

Hon: Hoffman. No no right to score that try off the hospital pass. Was very strong and classy this game.

Please can we never see Maumalo again? Pretty please? Tui had some poor moments as well but he's got far more skill than Maumalo so I'm willing to give him a longer chance to make the position his own. Manu in if ready. Otherwise Aysh in and pushing Fus to wing.

Props poor effort. Need more guys who can get well over 100m per game consistently. They were made to look better by great performances from Mannering and Hoffman but it's going to be a hard season if we can't win up the middle. I expect more from guys like Vete. It's his time to shine.

Ata showing some great signs. Awesome to finally have a true second half. But also some real signs of inexperience and stupid stuff. He'll get better every game though.

How good was it to see RTS put in the performance that we all knew that he was capable of. He's only one player, and the result was that we squeaked past a team that we probably should have thumped, but-

RTS and SJ looked good. Foran is to come.
We got 2 points in Round 1.
