Hagan was handed one of the the best rosters in the game and in just 18 months the damage was done, Ando did an amazing job in 09 but we overachieved big time. If Hayne hadnt of played the greatest footy of all time over a 12 week period we would have probably finished around 12th. The same we did in 10, he had no answers unfortunately neither did his replacement. They have gone out and hired the best coach on the open market and by the looks a very good support staff. They have made mistakes but do did the old
mob. But I have been saying for years Hagan sent this club back 5 years.

you and your Hagan agenda

Pirtek can go too. Whenever I hear the Pirtek Parramatta Eels I cringe. No sponsor should be before the club no matter the money offered. Ever heard of the AON Manchester United Red Devils?

The common denominator in a poor 2010, 11 and 12 is our admin.

We are the worst run club in the nrl, and possibly the country.

Time for these turds to be replaced. And no, not by fitzy.

Very hard to argue with this.

The board's job is to oversee the direction of the club, and to ensure the right staff are in place to carry our their plan.

This board hired Paul Osbourne FFS! Where is the advertisment for the Football CEO? Other vital positions?

Until Parramatta have recruited experienced and competent people in key positions we will continue to be a rabble. We can't continue to hire mates, or only interview one person for a job. This goes back to Dennis hiring Hagan.

Say what you want about Ricky Stuart, he is bringing across the people he wants to deliver what he thinks the club needs. But head office is still a problem IMO.

The letter P obviously isn't working out, so let's go with something different. How about AKB? But we need a number... Hmm, 48 perhaps?

#AKB48 #NoOneHasAnyClueWhatI'mOnAbout

We can't have Keyop in charge mate. Though he/it might make a great ground announcer....'Brr up, up up, Keyop Eels 0 Kempsey Cowboys 42'

Umm sorry my mistake Hagan was just fantastic for this club

The culture of this place stinks, have a look at last nights effort for proof. Ricky has a lot of work of do. Hopefully idiots arent calling for his head after 6 rounds next season.

We finished last and are a joke, who the f**k said nothing bad has happened. But how in the hell is it all the board fault??? Always easy to have a scapegoat we have been mostly rubbish since 07. It all started with the recruitment of Hagan who turned this club to shit and besides Haynes golden run we have been a joke for 5 seasons. Thats 3 coaches, recruitment guys, players and 2 boards IMO. Read Hindys book the culture has been rubbish since BS left.

If its not there fault whose is it? They are in charge of the decisions you are talking about and our club has give backwards under the current board performance wise. Things were bad under the Hagan tine but those days were sunshine and lollipops compared to where we are at now.

Just to clear things up, how long are we going to keep blaming hagan.

2015, 2018 or 2020.

Why do you need a scapegoat?

This club has been horribly unlucky. From Tim Smith's mental illness to the cheating Storm beating us in the finals three out of four years to Poore and Shack's career changing injuries. We are the unluckiest club in the game. We have been since 1986.

We can blame whoever we like, but at the end of the day how we will we fix it??? And relyIng on Hayne to get us home every game isn't going to do it. Is Stuart the man to do
It?? Gee I hope so, but he was the best available and with by the looks a very good support staff they have a chance. All these people whinging about sacking the board is their any other alternative??

Don't get me wrong, the recruitment of Hagan was a very large mistake, we lost Hodgkinson and Maloney to keep Finch. As for DA, he axes Finch then the team started to come together. Some would say it was Hayne all by himself, personal I think the team performed well and Jarryd was allowed to shine.

I still to this day wonder what 2011 could have been like if DA was allowed to coach on. We all now have an opinion on SK, and if you take that opinion and look back at 2011, I think most would come to the conclusion that under another coach, our fading out in the last 15 minutes, might have been lessened or completely mitigated, and 2011 with our poor roster might have seen us in the finals again. Alas we have chosen this path.

I would like to remind everyone, it is more than 30 months that this administration has been in power. If we consider Football club elections in December 2008, then it is 45 months, almost 4 years. Three of those years have been unsuccessful, two spectacularly so and I don't credit this admin with the 2009 year, as any work in that season started in October or November with Anderson was appointed. Looking back on it, even with the expectations I would rather go through 2010 again then suffer the tripe that has been severed up for the last two years.

Is it a complete admin change, or complete ticket change? No I think some members of the board are well placed to serve us well, as long as they take their ego's out of the equation. What our Board members do is tireless and thankless work, but it needs to be done, it needs to happen behind the scenes and it needs to work. We also need some footy people at the footy club. Hang the expense and hire some people who know football, we have already done that with a coach, a few more positions and the club will turn around. We have the talent on the field we just need to shape them into a competitive team.

Yes that's right Poupou, its just been bad luck we've had a couple of season ending injuries and an off field drama affecting a player. No other club in the NRL has had to deal with such problems.

Probably worth noting that despite his talk, SK didn't really have a plan or direction. He just meandered along signing random pieces then not adapting his game plan to suit the players he brought on board. I agree, would've been nice to see what happened if Anderson had been allowed to finish his time, perhaps his direction was wrong too? But at least we would've had a competent coach in charge...

Or maybe that's PPP's fault as well

Agree 100%. We are in this position because of the current board, not hagan, DA or SK. The board f**ked up, and will continue to do so. Time for them to go and be replaced with people with a clue.

If the board needed 18 months to work out SK wasn't the right man for the job, we as fans have had 30 months to recognize what amateurs they really are. Yet some people are still in denial, or just go against the grain for the love of an argument.

This is kind of a self defeating argument....

PPP said that not making the finals wasn't good enough, so they turned the team over to a new coach. Sure, they took a gamble at the time, but better days were being promised. They also turned over responsibility for all things football to this coach [ie, gave him the power to do his job to the fullest]. We all somehow thought SK would bring in a host of talented polynesians, but that didn't happen...
So unfortunately the guy didn't work out at all, so instead of just letting him go for another 18 months, they called an end to the facade, and went out and signed a well touted rep-coach (whom I think is crap and is a bad decision, but whatever!).

So in a nutshell, they've twice decided that poor performance is not good enough, and have twice signed highly touted rep-coaches to come in and take control.
By saying you disagree with what they are doing, you are effectively suggesting that what you REALLY want is for them to tolerate mediocrity, and to interfere and fiddle on the football side of things.

That's a big heck no from my point of view.
Let the coach be the coach, and hold him accountable. Unfortunately we had a dud - sadly it happens. Unless you preferred him not to be sacked, one would imagine you'd appreciate the board taking action on underperformance??

I thought it was a result of poor culture ?

How about we start with a total clean out at the top.

Bring in a new admin, who are successful with a vast knowledge of league, instead of nuffies, who's speciality is fabricating companies, running up massive bills, then going into liquidation.

A water board inspector is what we need.
Plug the leaks at least
