Foxsports are reporting that Notch will be added to the 3rd test squad, the player to be dropped is not yet known.

What the f**k he has done to be recalled has got me buggered, but you can bet Dougy will be dropped

Notch is being rested from the sheilfd game vs QLD, meaning he will play in the test

Harris has a stomach injury, might not be right for Thursday

squad announced tomorrow

Can't be serious about Johnson, surely him bowling at the Gabba would be more beneficial for him than being rested.

exactly, playing him in a 4 day game would enable the selecctors to monitor his progress, but it seems the decision is already made

play him on past form rather than current form which is sh*t

typical rubbish from our selectors

Harris has been cleared to play

Good news on Harris, if the wicket has a bit of green on it he is gonna cause havoc

Siddle will be there, so unless we play 5 bowlers or no spinner. Dougy will miss out

I do hope North is dropped, Bring in SSmith or Khawaja

Talk is that loosing Kat will rob the team of experienced players and 2 newbies may be too many, which will help North retain his spot.

experience is over-rated IMO. Better to lose with youngsters in the side learning the game than losing with useless older players who should have been dropped a while back.

Wow. If North somehow weasels his way into the side I daresay that's a darker day for Australian cricket than the loss that will follow. We don't accept mediocrity in Australian cricket, but that's what we're being served. As many have already said, a loss is a loss, but a loss where the young blokes gain experience for the future is a lot closer to a somewhat favourable result than watching the same batsmen and bowlers fail again and again.

Depends.

Obviously you should pick the best available players but if they're having problems injecting some youth into the side could reinvigorate the team.

I just don't believe we are not going to throw in an uncapped bowler like Copeland and say have a crack bloke. Can he really be any worse than the tripe Siddle/ Hilfy and Johnson have delivered?? Not likely. Our bowling has been a huge problem for some time so give someone a crack.

Dropping the rug for Notch is just ludicrous, but nothing surprises me any more with these clueless idiots.

Notch has done nothing to earn a recall.

And this bullsh*t about experience and retaining North is just a cop out for Punter having a big influence on selection.

Just my opinion but its crap like this that has seen us fail recently. We have enough good young players to do better, but dimwits for selectors and a clueless skipper is our biggest problem.

I reckon David Hussey is well in the mix... he's been interviewed about his chances... Hope not though.

and Bollinger. He was as sh*t as any of them in the last test regardless of the piss poor excuse of it being a road in the last test. He/we bowled on the same road as the Poms and they had f**k all trouble getting the 20 wickets required.
