ffs Ponting and Clarke both need to go... bloody hard to smash yourself out of a form slump

selectors can't blame the bowlers this time around

Our in form batsmen are at the wicket, plus got Haddin and Notch to follow. Also Smith could do well here. We should post a big total still

I love how the commentators go on (in this 2nd innings and adelaide 2nd innings) how Clarke needs to be positive and how thats why he has looked better in those 2 innings.

Its the fact he was too positive and too aggressive that got him out in both adelaide and perth 1st innings.

Clarke should be in teh side but hes the ideal number 6, not number 4. Not someone i want batting for my country when we are 2/20 with a new rock vs a decent attack.

I think everyone wants to see Ponting do well. Hes a delight to watch but I just dont know how long you can keep referring to the magic he did 3 years ago.

Id like to see him move down the order, as I still think he is one of the better bats in the country, if not the best. Id just like to see him against the older ball. Problem is we know he wont do that, and the other problem is like any position theres no real man in state cricket who deserves to be there and is thumping that door down

Watson is looking really good out there, shame stumps is so close, I think he could go on to triple figures in this form

Poms bowled poorly, plus they look flat as well

I can see Sunshine getting on with it tomorrow, and Mr Cricket will want to keep up his series 100 average up as well

3/119 Stumps day 2 - lead 200

Hopefully, all fingers crossed we can be around 7/419 at stumps after day 3 and lead by 500  . Then throw the bat Day 4 morning for 15-20 mins.

Worse thing that seems to happen to Watson is the break, how many times has he gotten out just after drinks, lunch or tea?

Can someone explain how that Ponting decision was over turned?

I'm sure I saw a similar one go against Australia when they referred. To me that didn't show enough to over rule the ump's decision if they are going to be consistant.

Yeah a bit weird, there is a case that it looked like it may have flicked the gloves ever so slightly, but your right about it not being consistant

Hopefully it wont matter, and we still end up winning :D
