Going to be the end of Bell now I reckon, of the whole mob he seemed the most likable and at least stuck it out this far.

Interesting interview with Jonathan Agnew this morning about Bell not puting in nor looking for the extra work or limelight.
Thats why he was never made captain. He is a dry in the wool know your place and don't rise above it. He will go down as another talent cricketer that could have been so much better. Lazy merkin.

All of the sudden England are blaming the pitches.

Same old poms. Always whinging

You get what you serve up. To be fair the pitch in Cardiff is always like that up and down its a weird place to play cricket. But they cooked up Lords for sure. It usually has more pace.
They will need something special if they want to bring Anderson back into the contest. Two feather beds have not helped his cause.

Haddin better not play, we had our best keeper in 12 months and we just won. If that useless hack drops Root again I'll flip out!

Amazing how much depth our bowling and batting had just by missing Watson and Haddin.

I like Haddin, but as someone has already said, not everyone gets to have the swansong. 38, likely to be his last tour, not setting the world on fire with the bat, just as hopeless as Scissorhands with the gloves ATM and Nevill jumped right out of the gates. You can't shelf someone after that sort of effort.

Both Marsh and Nevill took their chances, they must stay.

So Nevill kept wicket and batted ahead of Haddin in the tour game. Hopefully that's a sign he will retain his spot.

Shaun Marsh and Warner both hit hundreds, Watto made 60 odd and Marsh 50.

Hads made a few runs (32) and Neville failed (1)

I would think this game means jack shit anyway, their minds are probabaly already made up

Clarke can't even score runs in the practice match,he's deadset washed up,im blaming him if we lose the Ashes.

Yeah I don't reckon he has long left.

And yet he wants to play until the 2017/18 home Ashes series, which is still another 2 1/2yrs away.

At the rate he's going at 34 and being plagued with chronic injuries, I'd be surprised if he continues beyond next summer series against New Zealand/West Indies (especially if we win the Ashes)

His 'brand' is still strong enough that if he gives it away sooner rather than later he can still make a metric f**ktonne of money on the T20 mercenary circuit. He's always been the king of self promotion so I've got no doubt at all he's well aware that the longer he hangs on, the less he'll be worth to the likes of the Trinidad Tazos and Bangalore Boogeymen.

Are we convinced Nevill will play at Edgbaston? If Rogers doesn't play Darsh will get the nod surely with his form in the tour game, Watson will not get in ahead of MMarsh.

Everyone in the media is saying that Nevill will retain the keeping spot apart from Ian Healy.

Selectors to pull a surprise selection and replace Rogers with Haddin
