Lot to like about Wood, genuinely quick, whole hearted, bowler….

but like so many genuinely fast bowlers, hard to physically manage

Looks a belter, pitch looks fairly dry for a day one England deck. Just need to get through this first session.

Happy with batting first at the moment.

Murphy will have a big role in the back end of the match. Leach took 10 wickets last year in the test against NZ at this ground

Yeah, and he’ll want to bowl, Stokes and Baz need to be smart, not sure that’s in the Bazball playbook though

Wood will be almost 35yo next ashes in Oz.
They probably still send down Jimmy and Broad though..
