Wow there was some poor batting there...it's almost like watching us lately!

No excuses/sympathy here. The signs have been there for some time that we needed to revamp our middle/lower order because having Elliott (who at least put in today)Anderson/Ronchi together was not working. No Santer to stop the bleeding, and that's what you get and deserve.

Just abysmal batting from the middle to lower order yet again.

Top order doing their job in setting us huge platforms.
KW is out of form for once, fine.
Elliott is the only guy who actually builds an innings but keeps botching his starts.

WTF are Anderson and Ronchi doing

Santner is good enough to bat at 6 and bats with far more brains.
Watling needs to be given a crack

I do think it is a shame that so many NZ fans are knee jerking and calling for wholesale changes to what is a very good side. At least the criticism of Elliot has quietened down today.

Ronchi is definitely out of form, and has not been sighted playing for NZ since England bar one cameo against Sri Lanka.

As I said at the start of the series:

Not without Ross Taylor.

Australia are massive 2-1 favourites.

Hopefully some seam magic from Henry and Doug B proves me wrong.

NZ is playing the world champions, with or without Mitchell Starc.

Boult has not been bowling swing since England, and is a claytons World #1 ODI bowler right now. Even with those jammy wickets in the first game and Pakistani tail enders, ooh and those leg side strangles against Sri Lanka.

Im confused,is Antilag cheering for Aus or NZ

NZ.

But I am pointing out that the series and the NZ middle order's performances are not that surprising without its premier middle order batsman (sole NZ current ICC ODI XI batting representative) in the side.

Ronchi has been woefully out of form for a while now. So criticism of him is fair.

To the people giving it to Grunter and Corey this series, I disagree with.

NZ is a good side with those batsman. But we're missing a king pin in the batting that is regularly the glue for the middle order.

I had hoped Ronchi would be rested today, Nicholls would take the gloves, and Munro was given a shot.

But it didn't happen.
