A glorified minnow basher imo.

Nailed it.

Much like Guptill really.

Two great bits of fielding get NZ back in the game. I am not a big fan of Franklin and I am growing increasingly tired of N. McCullum, but that fielding was sensational.

BTW- that was awful from du Plessis. Loved that the umpire didn't go to third umpire.

SA are like headless chooks at the moment between the wickets. Hopefully we can keep them unsettled.

Kleinveldt sums up the SA innings- embarrassing, inept running.

Series done.

5 run outs.

Sensational fielding from us. Pleasantly surprised by NZ's performance in this ODI series.

Commentators having a dig at SA. Camera flicks to du Plessis and catches him laughing. du Plessis realizes he's on tv and goes all crestfallen.

Typical NZ, beating up on the minnow nations.

As much of a mismatch as it is, I think this is valuable experience for South Africa. Associate nations would kill for a home series like this. I am not likening South Afica to associate countries, I'm just saying that it's important to see that there is good stuff to be taken from it too

the South African fielding was pretty ordinary, hasn't been up to scratch all series (the ODI one only, wasn't a problem in the tests), something should be done about that. I think South Africa are struggling with the new fielding restrictions as well because the field settings weren't quite right for mine, but some really poor efforts from a bunch of the fielders throughout the innings.

Tremendous innings by Williamson, highest score by an individual on that ground and he batted well throughout the innings, and the bowling was pretty good for most of it

I actually think it was TBH. Kallis was dropping them, Elgar looked like he didn't know how to catch, there was fairly amateur fielding by Seth Efrika in the test series but it didn't matter because New Zealand had no idea.

Yeah, you're right. They probably love to lose series.

there was a fair bit of fail from South Africa throughout the series, I'm glad I fell asleep before the run outs. Gary Kirsten talked up ODIs and this as a year South Africa would focus on those, but I think the team missed that memo. There have been good patches from individuals, but as a team, the efforts have been ordinary. There was a sense of people don't feel like it, but those performances especially last night were embarrassing. South Africa usually pride themselves on fielding but they weren't even trying to field this series and the batting was ordinary. Credit to New Zealand for capitalising and taking something out of this series, both matches were solid wins for New Zealand

there were some amateur moments, but I think on the whole it was solid, unlike the fielding in the ODIs which was just ordinary

If SA want to compete with the big boys like NZ they really to lift their fielding and running between wickets. Perhaps they can poach a kiwi coach like Hesson???

:) A few months ago, South Africa were top of the ODI rankings, now I know India are, I'm not sure where South Africa have fallen to, but they have shown which end of the ladder they belong at the moment with some ordinary ordinary performances.
