Lets not f**k with him this early in his career. Shane Watson must have been late 20's when he started opening the batting. Just pick an opener or move Labs up and let Green bat down the order. Too much pressure IMO.

Usman will be gone in 12 months that's why i would prefer Renshaw who is close enough to Khawaja and let him settle in for the 12 months next to his QLD mate.

Renshaw scored 180 last time we played Pakistan at the SCG so he at least has proven himself at this level.

In saying that i reckon the best opener we have in the country right now is ironically a female in Phoebe Litchfield.

Labs is a long-term solution. He has great technique and has basically opened overseas for a while with Davey departing so early. Moving him causes everyone to move a spot which is the issue.

Your other point is true. Khawaja has 12 months minimum, maybe 24. So pick one of the three who have scored runs this Summer. I don't want to cook Green this early in his career.
