Starc could have thrown his bat last night, maybe made a quick fire for 20 and Australia bowled out with a 50 run lead. Instead he hung on, and hung on some more and made runs when the going was good. We now have a 100+ run lead and Starc another 50 to his stats.

Nice to see Bird and Hazlewood still there and accumulating runs with the Saffa's draining more energy on the field. How good would it be to declare with 400 runs on the board.

It's all about the situation, point out where I said we should have been having a crack until now?

Usman and Starc out, Lyon/Haze/Bird don't have much hanging + scoring ability, we are up by over 100.. it's ok to have a hit at this time. If we were behind and chasing the match to win, obviously I would've liked Lyon to hang and fight.

Don't twist my words, I don't believe what the Blazza dickhead believes. I was more than happy with how we batted this innings, at every situation that was presented.

Edit - I don't consider Starc as being part of the tail, he has the ability to stick or hit, and score well.

Fair enough. I actually edited my post a minute after clicking submit. But yes Lyon making a few extra runs was nice. Certainly better than nothing at all.
