In fairness Khawaja is the leading run scorer for the series at the moment....it's the other blokes who have let us down

Yeah, fair enough point really, only thing that's different this innings is khawaga got more runs and an extra bloke in the middle got a 50

I was proud of Uzie's batting in this Test but all us merkins will be calling for his axing when he gets carved up by spin early next year in India which is a given

Enjoy this moment Uzie cos you won't be in this team much longer brah

I am interested to see if they look to extend this format with the pink ball, I don't know if it's just the conditions in Adelaide or what but it seems that the ball definitely does liven up at a bit under the lights

How weird is Slats? Does a great, well spoken interview with Handscomb, but in the comm box it's all "AAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNDDDDDD A HEEEEEEEEEERPPPPPPPAAA DEEERPA DEEEERP!!!!"

I hate his laugh, it's like he's trying to not laugh and as a result of that, he laughs is spurts "he ....... he..... ahehe"

It was a great knock, I'll give it that but yet again we have an Aussie batting out of skin in a dead rubber. These knocks mean f**k all if they can't replicate it in a match where the bloody series is on the line.
He hit 97 and 60 odd in the first two games where most of his teammates struggled to get double figures.

They rolled us in Hobart, sure. That pitch was greener than your local bowls club as well, not an excuse but it's not like they were playing on a road and we got out because of our inability to leave or defend, I said before that this South African bowling attack is the best we've seen on our shores for some time, we've had quality bowlers play against us in recent years but not to the point where there's not really any sort of a reprieve, Abbott and Philander come off and you've got Rabada, Morne Morkel can't even get a game and he's been a very good bowler in his own right for a long time. They deserve a lot of credit.

I hate that our team only reacts after losing games in regards to player changes, Handscomb looked a million times better than anyone else in our middle has last night yet he never even got a look in, the series is over we're playing for pride, what are they playing for? So they can say they 3-0'd us on our own shores, whilst I am sure that would be humiliating for us, it's not like we're playing against England.

I'll re-iterate what I said, seems you're still struggling with the concept as you labelled it a "broad" statement. Rotate the strike, relieve yourself of the pressure, don't give the opposition an opportunity to bowl ball after ball at you. I don't except you to tell me i'm right, in fact I know you won't but at the same time
the fact you said if Khawaja didn't try to pickup the scoring rate once the pitch flattened out I "may have" had a point? may have? I am telling you right now, this is an exclusive so don't go around spreading the word that if Khawaja didn't try and improve the scoring this entire forum would be ripping and tearing, let's keep that on the down low though, Khawaja's innings is full of merit, we've been dieing out for a 3rd batsmen to start delivering and I say 3rd because whilst Warner does get out alot for not many runs, he has also scored us alot of runs at the top of the order, just look back to the first test, we were in a commanding position until he got out on 90 something, then Smith got a dodgy LBW decision against him and the rest is history.
And still it goes on.............

That is an all time knock from UK. Absolutely brilliant. Time for Starcy to have a crack, need at least a 100 run lead.

Brilliant innings ends.

Controversial opinion: Khawaja should open permanently. Not just because of this innings. He and Renshaw are natural openers.

Warner is not. Warner is a natural number 6. There he can have the freedom to slog. At opener his inconsistency isn't good enough.

Great knock Uzi. Pity he couldn't quite reach 150, but he's given us a chance at least. Don't know about the challenge, but he earnt it I guess.
Might as well start flaying it now I guess and see if we can get a lead of 100+

Lol. Averages about 50 as an opener in test cricket. Not good enough. Piss off, moron.

He'd average 50 at 6 too. Difference is we'd get through the new ball unscathed more often which would then improve the averages of every middle order batsman.
