In all seriousness, how can they play him?? If by his own admission, he struggles to pick up the length of the pink ball, then he has to have a line put through his name for this Test. That's a fundamental part of how a batsmen approaches their craft.... And when you're facing a couple of dudes slinging them through at ~140km/h, when you can't pick up the length, you don't leave yourself much time to adjust...

I was actually going to mention Warne in my post... I saw Wade being interviewed by Mark Nicholas last week in Hobart, might have been during a rain delay or something... Anyways, Warne was sitting there too and the pair of them were laughing and razzing each other, all matey matey like... Couldn't help thinking Warne would be pulling as many strings as possible in the background and campaigning to get Wade a chance...

Poor old Faf copping it deluxe on social media, he was allegedly reported by his own fellow countryman (Dave Richardson) from the ICC yet Steyne and Co trying to put the blame back onto the Aussies, and most comments from from the subcontinent are on Steye's side too.

Matt Wade is the toughest cricketer in the country,not only did he overcome cancer but he also has to overcome constant bullying from the Australian public and also has to overcome blindness,what a mentally tough specimen this man is and one that i would be proud to call family.

It is interesting, it goes back a step though, it was started by the Australian media - the ICC are a joke though, I see Misbah has been suspended for slow over rates - he's not available anyway, and of course slow over rates are the norm so suspensions need to be handed down much earlier - not to mention all the other bullshit behaviour many have been allowed to get away with and given warnings, fines, suspended suspensions etc

Not sure what to make of the de Villiers situation, does seem a slippery-ish slope, plenty chewing gum etc... but no doubt the respected ICC leaders will come down with a clownish decision either way

Yeah, everyone respects the special kid that does well - the keeper that can't catch is a really nice story - good luck to him. I know he's held in the highest regard all around the cricketing world - seems Australian keepers are either (IMO) stand up likeable blokes like Marsh, Gilchrist and Nevill, or putrid cheating asshole merkins like Dyer, Haddin, and Wade - no middle ground except all seem pretty dim (that's where Healy pops up too)

I saw that interview too - it made me furious.

They were all sitting there going 'mate, maaaate I hope you get back in the side soon'. They were actively cheering for Nevill to fail.
