North must be crook to not be playing, MaGain should have been playing anyway IMO. Good luck to him, lets hope we see more of the Hughes and Kat show.........

Very strange and defensive decision not to go for a referral on Katich. He was dead leg before.

Kat survives an LBW shout...was out IMO, very lucky that there was no referral

Decision is still baffling. I dare say if South Africa had competed in this series and had more confidence they would have sent it upstairs, but they're 2-0 down and very apprehensive. Katich was dead for all money and probably should have been given out by the on field umpire in the first place.

It's typical South Africa too defensive for their own good

I can understand why Rauf didn't give it....

A)The umpires seem gunshy in the face of referrals, as though they'd rather be seen as erring in favour of the batsman than the bowler
B)It pitched on leg, so there may have been doubt at full speed onfield

C) (and this one is most important) Asad Rauf is an utterly useless umpire who I'd be upset to see officiating when facing up in a 6th grade social match

It was out and Kat is very, very lucky.

LOL - I reckon C.

I think the reason he gave it not out was because he thought I've got the benefit of these blokes using the referral if I'm wrong anyway, so I'll take a punt and say not out using the old benefit of the doubt cliche. I think without it, he would have given it.

Any money he's not out this time.

Massive stuff up by the Yarpies here. FAR too high, pitched outside leg.

HUUUUUUUUGE stuff up.

Woeful captaincy. They've probably gone and cost themselves this test match in the first session, Katcih will bang a century in here.

God, they haven't seemed to understand the laws of the game sometimes in this series...their use and non use of the referral has been woeful
