Said he put the tape on that they use for their pads, then got some pitch debris and stuck it on, when he saw himself on the big screen he panicked and put it down his pants.

Lehmann is looking worse by the minute. There is clear footage of him alerting Peter Handscombe to the fact bancroft had been caught on screen. Handscombe then goes out to the field to let bancroft know and that is when he chucked the tape down his pants.

Didn’t Dravid, Tendulkar and faf all have ball tampering issues. There have been others and the penalty has been weak for all of them

So why should the penalty be harsh on smith and co??

Personally I’d step Smith down from the captaincy, send him home after this test.

The captain is someone not in the leadership group, I would imagine Warner and Lyon are in it, possibly Starc and haze

Gets all high and mighty about crowd abuse when Australian crowds can be pretty vile towards visiting players.

This is the same Lehmann who encouraged fans to hurl abuse at Broad for cheating because he didn't walk and was given not out that one time.

Don't believe for a second he knew nothing about it.

This tour has really been a disaster to the Aussies reputation. Others have always questioned the difference between what Australian cricketers say and do in regards to the "spirit of the game" but Smith/Lehmann have just looked at each other and chosen the worst time for a 'hold my beer' monent.
